This pattern is currently replacing the previous Universal Camouflage and the closely related Multi Cam, which was previously used by troops deploying to Afghanistan.

The United States Air Force has also adopted this new camouflage pattern, replacing their Airmen Battle Uniform after receiving positive feedback from airmen who wore the uniform while deployed to Afghanistan alongside Army soldiers.

The Scorpion Boonie Cap and Scorpion Patrol Cap, available from R & B, are made in the U.S.A. and adhere to the EXACT Military Specifications. These hats feature an adjustable chin strap, allowing for a tight or loose fit depending on preference and mission requirements.

The 50% Nylon and 50% Cotton Ripstop fabric provides excellent moisture-wicking and long-term durability, while the rim branch loops allow for the affixing of identification or camouflage elements. Additionally, the hats are Quarpel treated for water repellency, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of various operational environments.

Previously, the Scorpion pattern was only available for government contract purchase orders, but it has now been released for commercial sales as of late August 2018.
